Scout centre set for £128k makeover
A £128,974 grant will help transform a Scout activity centre in Penarth that is used by more than 350 youngsters. Facilities at the Penarth & District Scout Council building, on Bedwas Place, will be updated thanks to funding from the Welsh Assembly Government.

Grant Aid from the Vale of Glamorgan Council
PADSAC has been awarded a grant of £500 by the Vale of Glamorgan Council towards the cost of replacing the boundary fence between PADSAC and the public footpath linking Coleridge Avenue to Bedwas Place with high security fencing. The PADSAC Management Committee wish to thank the Vale of Glamorgan Council for this generous grant.
Local Barclays employee raises £1300
Lesley Mullan, a Barclays employee from the Deceased Case
Management Team in Cardiff and Treasurer of PADSAC
Management Committee organised a Hog Roast Evening and therefore all monies raised was matched £4£ as part of the Barclays
Community Investment Programme. A huge amount of £650 was
matched making a grand total of over £1300

Local Barclays employee raises £750
Lesley Mullan, a Barclays employee and Penarth and District Scout Activity Centre (PADSAC) Committee member, recently organised a quiz night in aid of the refurbishment of the PADSAC. The quiz, which took place on Saturday 15th November, was well supported, resulting in £375 being raised. The monies were matched £4£ as part of the Barclays Community Investment Programme.

Introduction
Welcome and thank you for visiting the Penarth and District Scout Activity Centre (P.A.D.S.A.C.) website.  PADSAC is closed from 10 March 2010 until the end of May 2010 due to refurbishment
We aim to provide the latest information about PADSAC, what goes on there and what is available in the surounding area.. We will also tell you how you can take part in activities and read about our projects. By doing this we hope to get more members and support for the PADSAC based 1st Penarth Scout Group and the Les Pugh’s Own Explorer Scout Unit whilst extending the hand of friendship around world

PADSAC is the home of the1st Penarth Scout Group .
PADSAC is a purpose built Activity Centre that supports Scouting in the Penarth District which covers Penarth, Dinas Powys, Llandough and Sully. It has a large hall, Trophy Room, Small Meeting Room, Explorer Den and the District Scout Shop Agency.
Set in its own landscaped grounds, it has on-site parking. Read more
